Technocratic socialism aims to produce a well-nurtured, well-educated, intellectually diverse and vibrant society with an active battlefield of ideas. It aims to provide for the basics of life and provide more resources to those who visibly benefit from society, and it aims to provide effective participation in the decisions that most strongly impact people in their daily lives (meaning the workplace). It aims to produce the best policies it can find towards these ends, and to have data-driven experts to administer those policies efficiently and effectively, changing them as needed. It seeks to sustain mechanisms by which bad policies and incompetent people can be removed from positions of power.
TS includes a commitment to cosmopolitanism, tolerance (not celebration) of difference, environmental responsibility and long-term thinking, and some level of responsibility for the state of the world.
